Nice, I only saw some flashes and rumbles but I was probably looking in the wrong direction lol. Got some good rumbles though

I'm getting a lovely channel light show! It's a bit sad that the set up on Tuesday that took several days of warm and muggy weather had very little payoff (being a Kent Clipper at best), while a classic sunshine and showers set up is doing 10x better!

Swear I just saw a distant flash to the west....

Oh wow, I did! A storm appers to have formed over Thurrock! Took me by complete surprise!

Just heard first rumble. Slowly coming closer.:yahoo:

Quite a good light show actually, anyone else in South Essex/East London/North Kent seeing this?

Well bit of a surprise - plenty of thunder and lightning passing over now. Some big flashes and loud bangs.

Think it's moving more Southwards than towards me. Still, nice little unexpected light show. Seen some lovely sheets that have lit up the whole western sky.

Lovely flash over Lakeside way just then. I'd be on my way down the A13 now if only I could drive...

And that storm near Chelmsford is hot on the heels of the first one. Think I'll make myself comfortable. Glad my bedroom window faces west!

Lightning is very frequent - every 5 seconds or so. This is plume style frequency and conditions don't feel vaguely impressive at all. Funny ole thing the weather!!

Lightning still very impressive from the storm to the SE, also picking up flashes to the NE now.  Had a cool moment with lightning from both cells at the same time.
