Something is going on for sure.

Been eerily still all evening then all of a sudden strong almost gusty wind.

No rain and no thunder heard though there are storms a county away!

These pictures are looking west towards the action. Ipod has made them much brighter for some reason!

Edit: It is now raining. It is wet.

How to delete this box?
Lol.

first distant rumble just heard.......a nice robust Cb is developing overhead as well, it was like watching a time lapse, I could actually see the Cb billowing out in real time!

Absolute belter to my east which was heading for a direct hit then veered away last minute. Grrr!

There seems to be an unusually high level of static in the air here just west of the Solent multicell; my hair just won't stop standing on end and tingling away, and I felt a slight pinprick sensation when putting some 5 pence pieces away just now.

The storms are really growing across N France - for once in my life I’d be buoyed by a bit of an easterly shunt

Farrington Gurney Bs39 currently having a strobe light show  with thunder...but not directly overhead. Suggest it is eastwards of here and we are on the cusp......alebit we have a shedload of rain too!

Enjoy all that find themselves in its path.

Nw confirmed from elderly parents in BA2 (eastwards of here) - storm went overhead.

I wonder if those storms in the South can survive the land and get here.

Few strikes starting to appear further east of the main lot in the Channel. That’s got my name on it!

In fact, as I was typing, a Met Office warning of rain was issued from 20:30 today until 06:00 in the morning. Could be a noisy night!
