Just bang it in flight mode, job's a good'n ;)

Nah, even then the screen lights up at night when messages are received. I'm not going to use it unless I go out or go to work so I turn it off. Anyone that wants to reach me does so on the home phone so its all good.

I've just been and took my dad out in his wheelchair to get some fresh air, and suddenly a shower developed right overhead. Huge drops of rain with some hail mixed in - very slow moving too. As soon as I got through the door, it stopped. :)

Similar here, though the hail was large. largest I have seen in quite a few years and the road became a stream for a little while. The temperature has also fallen to 13.7 .

This has developed just to the east of here in the last few minutes. Seems to be quite rapid development of the showers at the moment.

Surprised there's no lightning coming from that one just off the coast near swanage.

Just as I post that there is.

That's strange. Just heard a rumble of thunder which looks like it came from an area where there's nothing showing on the radar.

More thunder this time from a shower developing almost overhead.

One of the most beautiful days since July here, very sunny and dry. Showers? What showers! Then again we are at Diurnal maximum I suppose. .

Just had two moderate showers and heard a big rumble of thunder, very dark clouds. Almost came out of nowhere but I'm missing the intense stuff.

Accuweather on my phone says t-storms here in manc. But it's a fine evening.  If it comes it'd better wait until Paul Draper's gig finishes...

My wife took these pictures yesterday at home, we had heavy showers in the area. My question, is it the start of a funnel cloud? There was not thunderstorms in the area as far as I know. (I was on my way back from Preston)

Just had a heavy shower and some thunder and lightning here, looked like it was all intra-cloud with rumbles of thunder.

Looks like I missed half of it though as i was inside having dinner when it was moving in from the northeast.
