Just had a couple of rumbles of thunder to the south here in S20, Sheffield.

There has been about 10 or so rumbles from it whereas the lightening detector shows just a few

Plenty of gently rolling thunder round here in the last 15 mins.

Distant thunder heard in the Manchester direction around 15 - 20 mins ago, just light drizzle here though.

So, nothing directly overhead but cells and towers in every direction on the way home. Looks very dark to the east but sadly thats travelling away. However a friend of mine in Cowden (just south of Sevenoaks) just told me he heard thunder a few minutes ago. This could be coming my way.

Looks like a heavy shower came through here just before I got home as there was a lot of surface water around. Only 0.8mm measured though.

Not a great day for proper thunderstorms, so I'm staying in the pub with my laptop, Xcode and a beer... :-)

good luck to anyone hoping for a quick bit of bangflash - but this isn't the sort of set up that excites me much - too much hard work keeping track!

Had a brief moderate to heavy shower a little after 14:00, but no thunder. Other than that it's been dry and bright all day.

Just limited to one short heavy shower and distant Thunder today. As ever what went over us turned Thundery soon afterwards.

Woohoo, single strike off the South Devon coast!

My wife was just in the bathroom and when she came downstairs she said she thought she saw a flash of lightning. Blitzortung confirms she was right lol.

Here is the stills from one of my clips from earlier,the lightning was quiet prolific for a little storm but only the five lightning strikes within a eight minute clip so wasn't very active,if you want me to upload the clip i will but i feel as if it's not worth it
