Same! Ended up with some light to moderate rain in the end with the torrential part of the shower passing just a few miles to the North. Didn't notice or hear any thunder or lightning either, unless you did :/

A friend of mine has reported thunder in the Ecclesfield area of Sheffield - about half an hour ago. A nice start to August!

Hopefully we'll see a big storm at the end of August like last year, but this time hopefully its further North for us lot

One day, our storm shield will break again. It's just got to! :) Been too strong this year!

And the same for the Lincoln one ;)

Remember the times we had wide spread thunder storms right over the UK from East to West......I can't

God!!!  I could do with a good night time lightning show.

Guys...

Can confirm that at 16:00 the 'storm' (But still no thunder) was at the junction of the M6 and the M6toll.

Torrential rain.

That's the best I can do for the NSC members in Solihull.

Really come to something when we have to report a shower 10 miles away as the best we can do for the whole year so far.!!!

MIA

Ar man, know the feeling! :/ Last time we had a good night light show was back in July 2015. One of the best thunderstorms for a while

Another round of decent day storms for south Lincs, the usual spot.

My attention is well and truly taken over into the European discussion now. Check out the latest Mesoscale discussions in estofex, they sound very interesting and quite frightening!!

2nd overhead storm of the year here today, unfortunatley I wasnt at home but I managed to intercept the same storm in the work van as it passed between Tadcaster and York.

Frequent lightning, mostly IC with the odd CG at times, small hail and rain so heavy you had to stop as you couldnt see ahead.

Few shots from when I got home this evening.
