Sunny Sheffield down to 14.8C -1.6C below normal. It will go up for tomorrow then not much change if the local forecast is right.

Crosby up to 16.6°C (+0.3) thanks to some very warm nights. Mean min 13.9°C (+0.7).

Here In Edmonton we are sitting at 17.8c which is +1.8c above normal ....looking pretty warm with some hot days before the month end..so i expect to finish above 18.0c for the month..which will round of a very warm summer over here with all 3 summer months being close to +2c above normal.

Outcome looking to be 16.2 to 16.5 making it more of an average than cool August in modern terms, but the heart of summer turned quite cold -- will have to compare 21 July to 20 August of this summer to others when the numbers are in, probably in the lower quartile. This would normally be the warmest part of the summer.

No change for Sunny Sheffield still at 15C. -1.3C below normal. GFS makes Monday hot national forecast didn't have it that way and neither does the local forecast.  If it doesn't turn up Sheffield will end around 15.2C so A cold month on the cards.

I'm guessing 15.8 to the 25th. Then the last 6 days look like 19, 17, 20, 16.5, 14, 15. This gives a finish of just over 16. Then likely downward corrections so 15.8-16 is the jackpot area imo.

Chances of our first below average month of 2017 have well and truly gone out of the window now.  However, at least my CET guess of 16.6C no longer looks to be way off the mark, although I doubt it will finish quite this high.

Still 15.6c here to the 26th, 0.1c below the 1981-2010 average.

Will go above average here tomorrow but the last 3 days days of the month are looking quite cool with forecasted daily means of around 13c so potential to still still finish below average. Whatever happens it will be a very average month temperature wise, unlike rainfall which like most of the summer has been much higher than normal.

Still 16.7c here - though we may nudge 17c if tomorrow is a hot one. Max temps have been nothing special but high minimums (8.6c lowest this month) are helping to keep the average up overall.

I suppose that's because you're on the coast? We are prone to slightly lower temps here being in a valley and slight frost hollow.
