We need an invention that can push storms to where we want :)

I totally agree with you. We'd push them all towards Leicester and Solihull - nobody else would have them :spiteful:

Running the blitzortung loop for the last hour, it seems the very earliest (if at all) it will get close to here will be around 2:00-2:30. Going to try and catch 40 winks, setting alarm for 2:00

Is that storm out at sea coming inland?

It looks like it yes especially as the band of rain is taking off inland as well and expanding.

Both Iberian inbounds to LGW taking the scenic route across the channel towards Dorset, that's quite a diversion.

I've done that! Though the storms had been over the Pyrenees!

Fascinating to see how the evening has unravelled. Lots going on down south. Very impressive with the cell west of Norfolk which keeps on giving

Alas it's too far north here to  benefit, as the storms will die out by the time they reach here, due to diurnal cooling.

Enjoy your storms, those who get them!

South Wales looks like it's going to become electrified soon. Cells exploding to life.

Seems to be some storm activity making a break for London off the South Coast.

Excited but nervous at the same time, goodness knows what this could turn into as we move later into the night, it is already viscous now. One can really feel the tense humidity compared to failed events.
