Although saying that the storms to the south look quite intense, I hope they make it!

Something is closing in on me from the South, looks all most constant activity coming up from the Sussex coast towards London.

Looks like the west side of Kent and Essex will get to enjoy this one as much as London.

Just clearing northwards from here now. An insane 90 minutes of continuous lightning and thunder followed by torrential rain. If you're north of here - watch out, this is very intense!

Its still just North of the South Coast.

Looks like that lightening around Cambridge is coming down to meet the storm from the South, London is in the middle..

The best storm I have ever witnessed, never seen so much spectacular lightning. I will be tired for work but it was 100% worth it. Night everyone and enjoy if it's on it's way to you, a night to remember.

Constant low rumble and very frequent lightning to my entire southern vista, even to my SE. I reckon about 30 minutes away before it wakes the kids.

the ones in wales and cornwall are more likely to reach me than the south coast, there is far too much eastward momentum

Sounds about right - but then it is nearly 2 am and I've just spent an hour doing slow-mos on my iPhone and deleting the fails along the way 

The most intense cells have been sneaky and escaped NE from the point of origin, leaving me with lesser action to the south where I have a less obstructed view. Caught 5 bolts in good detail so Im pleased enough
