The ingredients are there for something epic, Yet again.. East side get it.

East for storms. east for snow.  :shakesfist:

Hold on a sec the most severe storm of the day happens near the most westerly point today with large hail. Also all is not over yet

Tomorrow looksquite unusual for your area, potentially a grey and cool easterly to start, but once the wind veers southerly then your location could end up being one of the hottest in the country. The BBC not ruling out something close to 32C over northern parts of East Anglia once the sun comes out and the risk of storms triggered by the heat. Still we got all this to get through before we even think of tomorrow.

Do you have any thoughts as to whether the easternmost cluster/squall line/LEWP might affect Norfolk Sheep and my area later, Matt?

I might be mistaken but considering the lightning is making landfall at Isle of Wight instead of Christchurch, this one is going on a path slightly more east than the previous one, so London might get this one properly later on.

Kicking off here now with more cloud to ground lightning, and big rumbles. Happy days !

Explains why that london storm is dying and why theres a huge blocking going on over the SW that just wont ignite!

DiagnalRedLine can see faint flashes of lightning off to the south, I'm in wythall

Ar, that's good! Just took a little peek through the window and not seen anything at the moment. Then again, my view to the East/South-East/South is obscured by a number of trees.

Secretly wished it could have tracked further North.

There seems to be enough in the atmosphere to keep these storms going throughout the night, trouble is there are never any guarantees when it comes to thunderstorms.

Wow! So much lightning to the NE, nearly every second.

I can see the same thing from Basingstoke. It's faint, but near constant.

Well that was the best storm I've seen here in LB. One CG really close, was sure it had hit something close.

Cheers Matt.  My opinion (FWIW) is that it might well affect us if it doesn't weaken beforehand.

Lot's of bright flashes to the south now, but it's calm and peaceful here, no thunder heard yet. I have to be up for work at 3, don't think I'll get a lot of sleep tonight lol.

Must admit I was surprised by the temperature ramp by various forecasters, it's not unusual for us to be 10 or 12 deg lower than the rest of the UK, not the other way round! I can guarantee that as I have to be in Kings Lynn tomorrow afternoon something will happen at home (cue multiple dog meltdown....)
