So far its been a disappointing year with regards to storms. However what is to my S has me drooling in anticipation.

Currently in Harlow Essex, intercepting a cell that has grown on the SE flank of the MCS it seems to be stronger than the main MCS and is packing a punch with big blue glows of CC lighting nothing more than a rumble even overhead as they are fairly elevated.

Just had a flight bound for Luton pass over at about 3000ft! Must be diverting into Southend!

Are conditions really that crazy up there?!

I caught the edge of the storm that passed just the west of London at about half past 8. I seen a few lightening flashes and a few rumbles of thunder. Now I've got another one too :D

Wow, thats impressive. Especially that the main cell isnt on top of you. Are you getting any distant rumbles of thunder from this?

Flashes every second from that thunderstorm over North London - all C-C but still impressive.
