Excited but nervous at the same time, goodness knows what this could turn into as we move later into the night, it is already viscous now. One can really feel the tense humidity compared to failed events.

It looks promising, the amount of activity between Isle of Wight and Eastbourne looks incredible. Plus some of it seems to already be pushing it's way inland ahead of the main storm.

South Wales looks like it's going to become electrified soon. Cells exploding to life.

There is still mostly clear skies. Flashes and deep rumbles from every direction though and only little amounts of cloud. Very odd.

the feel of the air is changing in South East Wales,. ~ It was feeling cool,. but you could almost taste the water/humidity,. the temperature has risen now,. it feels,. the wind has died down and the air is becoming super muggy!

Ah, some more prominent thunder now and more in the way o blinding flashes.

South of Bournemouth the activity seems to have consolidated into a vicious arc which shows signs of a more concerted effort to move NNE.

Arc formations and storms are usually a potent mix, but typically they have to be surface-based to bring any severe winds down. Could be some localised fairly sizeable hail though.

SE England? If only.  The storms seem to be drawing energy from the Channel. As they hit land, they are decaying.  I don't know if this has enough energy to come inland much. All we might see in Surrey is rain.

How far NNE are these likely to get? I know it wont reach as far as me lol, interesting to know though

Any news on whats happening with the storm near Norfolk? Not a lot of lightning being detected there from the radar

Basically nothing...I've seen maybe two flashes in the last hour (and one might have been a reflection of the TV in the window..)

The main course hasn't even arrived yet, If anything the warm plume air is strengthening the development

I can see flashing in the west from Cardiff. Just had a shower overhead but no lightning.
