Slow moving buggers aren't they, 20kts, speed of a ferry

My flat overlooks the sea and I face SW towards the IOW incoming, believe it or not, there's very little to see...

Yup moving slowly at the moment but I keep seeing a lot of flashes to the SW, its getting there :D

I think you might be in for a chance this time so long as they dont suddenly move eastwards before sleaford like they usually do : P

Multiple strikes a second now directly overhead. Rain has stopped, wind completely died but no sound from the flashes. Eerie.

Seeing this storm from 20 miles south, was only spots of rain when it's passed over here. Some strong lightning

Tomorrow looksquite unusual for your area, potentially a grey and cool easterly to start, but once the wind veers southerly then your location could end up being one of the hottest in the country. The BBC not ruling out something close to 32C over northern parts of East Anglia once the sun comes out and the risk of storms triggered by the heat. Still we got all this to get through before we even think of tomorrow.

Aircraft doing really strange manevours getting into stansted, flying around that almighty cell o would say around 90 strikes a minute now, I've got my eyes peeled waiting for one of tear planes to be illuminated by the sheet lightning across the sky. I'm starting to think that the letdowns we've had recently will give way to a magnificent night ahead !!

Aye, looking north-east over the last half hour or so there's been constant flashing....I could've got some proper good footage tonight of flashes and bolts but instead I got 3 mins of me swearing accompanied by strong winds and a downpour. Ah well. The lightning has been in all directions tonight....crazy!
