Would this give us in Lincolnshire a chance in the early hours?

At this stage the game's still on for everybody. We'll know more about the Midlands, the East, and the South East at around 7pm (ie comparing reality to what the models forecast)

Lots of big cumulus clouds floating by now, don't think anything will come about this evening though.

Great look at that storm that's been over the south tip of Cornwall for a hour or so! Menacing

Plenty of IC/CC in that darkness showing up on the cam

yeah, the thing with these is that it'll appear to be moving due north, but then make a right turn, clipping kent.

Looks to me as though the rather uninspiring stuff in the channel is going to make landfall somewhere near Brighton. I think i'm too far west, but it really doesn't look all that to be fair.

That's not the main event tho.

Think of it as more of a whitebait starter :-)

Edit: depends if you like whitebait but I love it

That cam is annoying facing the wrong way. needs someone to change it so it's looking right at the cloud.

BBC saying the French storm should hit London around 9pm and so I am considering travelling down that way.

Yes, in that respect, we really need more northward movement before it slides east.

I need to stop watching the same bbc forecast over and over again. It just gives me the jitters. Best we just calm down and wait.

First signs of an early evening of moderate rain. No sferics activity associated with what's moving into Dorset and West Hants.

The storm over the channel has started to take on an interesting form. Is it possible for an MCS become a bow echo, or does it already fall under that category?

If it veers east again that'll be the first time I've seen a storm do an 's' curve
