Yeah, not even 1 rumble of thunder yet this year, and that squall is incredibly straight in a line

The convection line past without incident and i`m guessing that the line down to the SW will slip to the South of the region..not all doom & gloom .though.. i can see some good convection out to the West

Well i didn't get a storm today as it looked good with all the heavy cells around and are still some around now,i did like the straight line of ppn to the SW of which was uncanny

took some photo's at one minute intervals of an exploding CB with pileus cloud,you can see how fast it developed where the pileus cloud is located.

As a sharpening upper trough clears eastwards across Britain on Friday, so the main forcing for ascent will shift east and exit across the North Sea. The trough is characterised by relatively steep mid-level lapse rates, and should help yield 300-600 Jkg-1 CAPE in response to modest surface heating. Some sporadic / isolated lightning may be ongoing at the beginning for the forecast period over western portions of the LOW threat level, with the area of best convective potential gradually shifting eastwards through the day.

A couple of thunderstorms will be possible over eastern Britain late morning into the early afternoon as phasing of upper trough overlaps somewhat with diurnal heating - but with the trough then moving over the North Sea, a decrease in potential (and any lightning activity) is expected from mid-afternoon onwards as warming and ridging aloft overspreads the area ahead of the next Atlantic system. That said, should a stronger cell develop in the relatively short window of potential, a local hail report of 1.5cm in diameter would be possible.

Was under the heavy shower that passed through Kent around an hour ago, was some beautiful cloud structure and some pea sized hail thrown in with the torrential rain. A couple of storms just out to sea from Worthing/Brighton area right now. I haven't got anything planned for tomorrow so I'm gonna head out to a nice vantage point and see what these storms bring!

Hit print sceen next to f12,you have to be quick,then paste into paint

just captured this,last one from me tonight,up at 5am
