surprised how little talk there is on the cells heading for cambridge. in hindsight, setting up there at the start of the day would've been a great call

I mentioned those on our regional forum for East Anglia and the South-East.

Dependent on where you are in Derbyshire, the cell just gone up near Stoke may be of interest. Too far north for me, but looks to head towards Chesterfield. Nothing of note yet but could develop into something.

My eyes are peeled :)

I think I am at the breeding grounds of these convective towers, some really nice convection.

Definitely things afoot. How much lightning remains to be seen.

Getting dark.

Just got home and the caps now broken...

However, I fear it's too little too late.

Very hazy now to the West, can barely make out anything in the sky

There's a cell popped up over Wembley that I'm keeping an eye on, that could deliver the goods for me

Big anvil looming over from the west with towers behind. Need to work out an intercept or whether it will come right overhead. Decisions.

And that's it from me for today folks... We've brewed up everything we can around here and sent it eastwards.

As you can see from these two photos, the rear of the grey unstable skies heading east... And the clear blue skies out to my west that say it's game over until next time.

But good luck to everyone else with this today, and over and out from storm starved in North East Wales. :friends:
