Hi

First few flashes and a couple of sharp cracks and rumbles in Cleethorpes about 5 minutes ago. Just started to rain but feels very still outside.

Cheers Glenn

This is what I've been waiting to see all day, I bet now though it'll just be heavy rain if it makes it up here, can't see much in terms of lightning but the potential is there so who knows

Got my first chase, well sort of. Started in pontefract at around half 5, got on to the A1 southbound, stuck in traffic all the down to the A19 came off there and headed towards selby but traffic was unbelivable due to a crash on the M62 closed both ways. I could see the Doncaster storm all the way down the A1 but was unable to get right under it . Light show was fantastic tho, shame I was driving. But defo gave me thirst for more. Few pics but nothing fantastic.

Whatever this is, it has been absolutely tanking it upwards at an alarming rate, to the W-SW! Somethings brewing. Steady as she goes.

Got some big old cumulus congestus building up out east again, which has been a surprise! Much bigger than what we had earlier.

Estofex issuing a level 2 predetermined it was going to be a bust.

On the other hand some parts of Norfolk/Suffolk did quite well with a conveyor belt of goodies earlier on 50mm of rainfall falling in a unofficial station. Hot and sultry in London with once more nothing to show for it nowadays it all seems to be happening north of London.

not Gona hold my breath..stupid amount of T&L should of got here and didn't.

Actually given me the hump when I've just looked at the live lightening radar and i see all that potential dumped in the sea, no good to anyone there...and as is usual france gets most of the decent fun weather.

what a complete anticlimax today.
