More brewing to my west. This time last year we'd had several thunderstorms. So far this year nothing, so fingers crossed. We could do with the rain at least!

Oh dear it developed over me dropping a couple of spits and now, 30 mins later is 10 miles east of me over Church Fenton with 250mm per hour rainfall rates! I'm now west of the line so game over. Good luck east Yorkshire and the Humber!

Stunningly beautiful CBs to my N over London - swear I just heard a distant boom but surely not possible from that far away

Look surface based to me too

Yeah dark looking skies to the west here too, just North of Birmingham, hopefully we can get something to form even if its small before it is too late (if it isn't already).

Good sign perhaps? I'm hoping it just does brew up here and someone else gets it though : P

Nice shot!

That'll be the storm out over NW Essex/SE Herts. I'd probably be able to see that from here if it wasn't for the haze

Looking in that direction that haze has darkened slightly, but sadly it will pass to my North. Distant rumble for me at absolute best I'd say.

Not too upset though, have already had 8 days of thunder since May 19th!

Sferics near Northiam, but no thunder heard, and no significant cloud? :cc_confused:

Another cell just exploded over North London, Why couldn't they have done this further west? I miss out yet again, really hard to not be disappointed when they are so close.

The sun is shining rather bright at the moment, also humid. This is what the sky looks like from the other side

Quick developments north of London by the looks of the satellite, with some of the cloud tops casting shadows I would expect some action there this afternoon. Also that MCS over NE France is a beauty, people in Kent should be having their eyes right on it!

Can see it but need it to get dark. Not going to happen at this time of year, at this time though.

I have a view of those storms north of London. So close yet so far. Any chance for anything later?

Very lucky having 2 cells in one day, we haven't had a rumble all year haha, but welcome to the forum :)

I am suspecting it was a false strike. it was on LightningMaps.org, but has since disappeared.

Another cell going up, closer this time. Might get some distant thunder out of it but won't come too close sadly.

Does look as if other towers are trying to go up behind it however

I saw a few earlier.  It's just a mis-calculation.

constant thunder from the Herts cell. Still fairly distant though and very slow moving.
