Another bust here by the looks of it, no thunder at all this year so far!

That cell approaching Whitby has a nice structure to it on radar

And that's it from me for today folks... We've brewed up everything we can around here and sent it eastwards.

As you can see from these two photos, the rear of the grey unstable skies heading east... And the clear blue skies out to my west that say it's game over until next time.

But good luck to everyone else with this today, and over and out from storm starved in North East Wales. :friends:

Yep as I feared the wind vectors were all wrong even for you in the end. Oh well, third bust in a row. Monday looks interesting now but who knows.

To many people thinking its over, its not over. The cloud is building rapidly across southern midlands now, I think the weather alert exists till tomorrow morning due to more storms coming over night.

Shocking forecast,me thinks something went very wrong today.:nonono:

I disagree. Thunderstorms are hit and miss at the best of times. They have developed in the areas forecast.

Not sure why the Met Offce extended the warning to 2am Friday morning. Looks like any threat is going to be over comfortably before that. I'm in the warning area and it's over now!

Unless it's for the cold front? might pep up a bit as it crosses over what's left of any remaining CAPE.

Just seen first flash and distant thunder. You may need to come down the A120 a bit. Mind you Braintree always seems to be a degree or so warmer than here and storms often seem to intensify over it, so u may be lucky.

More thunder. Looking juicey on radar now.

If you look at the latest FAX chart for 12z Thursday, there is not even a cold front, it shows a warm front.

The cold front is currently lying from Lyme Bar/Weymouth up to North West coast of Northern England. I think any developments because of that front will be minimal looking at models.

Ah well all over for us. The storms to the north of me are moving away eastward then as I type this two new ones appear one of which my pass even closer by. Doubtful they will do anything but good news for those further north and east of me.

Evening @Chris.R :)

Yoy were absolutely spot on mate... To be honest, when I was out earlier and that cooling north west breeze kicked in, I knew deep down it was going to be a bust for me.

Ahh well, the chase and fun of the chase was fun whilst it lasted. :)

As you say, Monday looks interesting at the moment... Maybe we'll get lucky on that one. :D:bomb:
