Interesting seeing the pictures of ACCAS, Cirrus Floccus etc absolutely none of that here.

Clear skies overhead here although it's looked hazy to the south for a while now.

Still pretty much crystal clear skies heat, although some ac cas seems to be trying to make its way up from the SW

I am hopeful something will happen by lucky chance later tonight but I already feel a sense of disappointment as there is definitely an east and north shift on coverage lately.

Like others have said though, the period isn't here yet and I should take the forecasts with a pinch of salt and just wait and see what happens.

Evening all, I saw an identical example of these clouds over Surrey this afternoon. I thought it to be a good indicator of instability and here I am catching up on hundreds of posts!

Essex Weather Centre (normally pretty reliable) just tweeted that the biggest risk in Essex tomorrow is from 05:00 - 13:00...

Anytime after 07:00 will do me fine, since I hate being woken up early!

Game on!! Tomorrow I'm driving from Basildon to Aylesford in Kent, then to Chessington, then Littlehampton then back to Basildon. If I don't see a flash during that time I'll be a tad disappointed!

Some interesting clouds here this evening..........low cloud off the North Sea from a chilly NE breeze :cc_confused:

In a seriousness I'm feeling hopeful for a storm tomorrow afternoon, if they decide to go around me, I'll be chasing with the dash cam after 5pm.

Good luck all.

Remember guys,if a storm isn't IMBY but in the range that you can afford to chase it,do it because looking at the wind vectors they look slow moving, well slowish in a slack flow around the lp tracking up from the south then moving east over the midlands to east anglia

and don't forget to snap away at some structures and take footage of the storms with inclement weather that we do not usually see in the uk:D

ok,i have watched too much of the weather over the states lol:rofl:

whatever happens tomorrow,i am sure this place will be buzzing

see ya tomorrow guys:)

Definite eastwards shift going on now.

Will be pretty disappointing if we get nothing as we were suppose to be in the main action zone a few days ago and stupidly I got excited and had high hopes.:wallbash:

Really am clutching at straws, if we do get anything then we will have been very lucky and just had the stragglers.
