Just realized that Hamburg storm formed over us and then headed over the North Sea to Denmark and Germany. Not like we needed that storm or anything.... come back please

Some seriously intense echoes on radar, up to 250mm/hr showing. But again just like yesterday, cells moving at a fair old lick.

Missed the storm passing to my south by a whisker, but so some distant lightning and heard several deep growls of thunder, here's the back edge updraft of the storm as it cleared just to my south.

South east looks as if its being going of with a bang :D

Not round here, the lower half of EA got pretty much bypassed. Just messy clouds and sun this way. :cc_confused:

I'm hoping that's not our lot and that we may yet get another chance later if this convection keeps going,

I think that's our lot for the SE today, though further storms look to develop this afternoon across N Wales, N England across to Lincs along second cold front pushing SE ... more on this in my storm forecast:

Large drops of rain now hopefully a sign of things to come.

I can't see where the 'risk' is for Lincolnshire. All the action now seems to be in the SE and E Anglia.:nonono:

I gotta admit Nick, that forecast is bang on, right down to the squall line. Keep up the good work. :) I'm hoping it will be a tad cooler behind this lot of storms now. Been far too hot in this part of the country for over a week now. Can't stand the sticky heat we get here.

Do you anticipate that second batch (associated with the cold front) to affect Norfolk?

Typical that the storm cells seem to re-ignite or gain energy when they leave the british coast??
