After having 50% storm chance yesterday and waking up to 80% storm chance for what just went through i managed a bit of light drizzle clipping the edge of a few showers and a rumble from about 9 miles south

far out and will probably downgrade to nothing but storm chances next week from Monday onwards look promising..

Big deep, growling rumble of thunder to the south of here near Croydon, south London. Think the core will pass 10 miles to the south of me though :(

Looks like the front is trying to form a squall, just wondering if it will manage while it's still over the UK.

Not even a single drop of rain here, it's like there is no moisture inside the m25

What started as a clear morning with clear blue skies at 7.30am has rapidly gone very dark and still. Plenty of potential I think even if the southampton storm misses us. Certainly looking more promising today than it has for a while.

Seems to be tracking NEE. Think it's going to miss tower hamlets (where I'm working at the moment) but the day is still young.

Yeah Wrexham isn't the best. Had a whopper a couple of years ago with fab lightning, but been pretty scarce apart from that. Had some crackers in the 90's.  Every time I get my hopes up I get let down. The last ace one was in Majorca and I waited so long for it I fell asleep and missed half of it haha

22nd August 2015 was a decent multi cell storm in Wrexham. But the last time we had a REALLY big one was July 2001.

Just two piddly rumbles of thunder in the far-distance since yesterday afternoon, on the plus side at least things have cooled down and it'll be less oppressive temps for the weekend.

That's a really nice little row of storms on the radar at the moment, although no more developments heading my way for now it seems. Just low level cumulus once again here but going by past experience, that could easily hide an approaching storm.
