I'm keeping an eye on the triangle between Stoke, Birmingham and Shrewsbury for storm development which may effect us.

Yeah, the sun is coming out quite strong again now so hopefully that's a sign

Fingers crossed it'll reach us

look north says storms to the north of us tonight which puts you firmly in the firing line, tomorrow showers further south, which means this area misses them all together

It is hot and sticky and humid and we need a thunderstorm in south and west in Wiltshire.

What is very noticeable about these showers/storms is their rate of movement. Looking back on the radar images shows them zipping through at a hell of a rate of knots. If you get one then expect it to be here and gone within half an hour!

Hi dangerous. I'm originally from Wrexham but currently on holiday just to the south of Hull. Are my chances better there? Would hate back home to get more than me whilst I'm away lol (which would be typical tbh!!)

Hull could be a good a place as any this evening. :good:

The atmosphere over England and Wales is like a loaded gun at the moment. :bomb::yahoo:

Here's a question. How come forecasts are always spot on when the say no thunderstorms for me, but consistently wrong when they say i will get one?  :sorry:

I'm watching for the line of mini storms around the IoM at the moment - seem to be headed NE so let's see if they grow as they do...!

I know its not completely relevant to this thread (UK bias), but I see an ESTOFEX Level 3 is presumed to be "eventual" across Germany and Central Europe...

This extended forecast was issued to highlight a risk for a possible severe weather outbreak over CNTRL Europe including tornadoes, very large hail, damaging wind gusts and excessive precipitation.

Stay safe if anyone is over there.

There's no better place to be than the Hull area tonight, and that's not something I'd often say.

Keeping fingers crossed! I'm just on my way from Sheffield back towards Hull and on the M62. Skies has darkened considerably but looking mucky and few spots of rain started. Very oppressive and temps 25c.
