Yes, a cell is coming over. Raining hard and strikes on radar from the back end of it a few minutes ago. I'm heading out for a better view. Fingers crossed my friend.

Well while Chelmsford has had a storm, I have had absolutely nothing, and I'm only about 10 miles away. Big spots of rain just started falling here now though...

Sat just east of swaffham at the moment. Sky is looking really dark to the South. I think that beefy storm should reach Norwich a bit later, so may continue to head east. Very promising looking indeed!

There's a huge cell rapidly building to the E-SE of here. Looks like a proper thunderstorm! Very warm and almost stifling here in the sunshine.

Yep, the Guildford cell developed a storm in its tail which delivered a very heavy downpour here and I think a rumble or two of thunder (couldn't quite hear over husband's Sky Sports!). The sun is coming out here now.

Seems to be passing right over the top of me. Some big cracks of thunder and fork lightning. Heavy rain at the moment. No hail.

London Cell (and brave plane). No thunder heard yet although it did produce about 10 minutes back on radar.

Would be typical for me to have one at home while I'm out haha.

I'm all for going as far as Lowestoft perhaps, as that is where the best storm is looking to actually be heading. Setting off now.

Beautiful convection over C London just now. Alas, working from home today.

Note the pileus cap in the second and third photos.

They're so close to me but no cigar, unless that detonating line shimmies east.

Stiflingly humid here. Storm still rumbling away, no lightning visible for a while though. Looks to be heading to Sudbury as usual.

We're right in the middle of the cell conveyor belt it seems, although the more interesting g development seems to be happening just as everything passes over us. That said, the last one that did I'm fairly sure had a little bit of rotation in it, and lots of scud! Unfortunately my tiny copilot trod on a bee so we had to administer first aid and Percy pigs so hopefully we will be better prepared for the next one.....

Heads up @Windblade - storm has erupted just east of Guildford and on its current track (and if it holds together) will come very close to our location!
