14C and sunny at home this morning at 6am. One of the warmest mornings for a long time on the east coast. However down on the Vale of Pickering around Seamer it was only 11 and quite foggy in places. On my way to Manchester now near Stalybridge , bright sun and a cloudless sky.

Nice to see the NW Midlands, North Wales and Lancashire leading the highest temperature stakes today. Current hot spot is Blackpool with 26C, a far different day from yesterday when that area was shrouded in low cloud.
