What would your ultimate poorest summer be like?

2014 and 2015 were poor, but not as bad as those four.  Every August since 2005 had been cloudier than normal (though Aug 2016 was only a few hours shy).

Yes, that's pretty much what I've just said. Perhaps SW London is particularly bad but only 2008 and 2010 took the biscuit in Bristol. Most others were, like I said, below par but by no means awful. 2016 was pretty much what I'd expect of August here. We are definitely overdue a good one!

2011 still has to go down as the most boring year of summer weather. At least 2012 had a couple of decent thundery days thrown into the mix, even though it was bad. 2008 was another shocker! Last year wasn't too great, but we did see a couple of decent storms and 34c mid July.
