Metoffice forecast was dire to watch, yet it looks like the band is further north at the moment?

Not sure any northern shift will bring much here regardless. Everything was pointing to snow today and it has been milder than initially forecast (still nippy though) but not enough for snow to settle, and its been sleet/rain at times too.

Not expecting much tomorrow, if it hits here then it probably wont settle on the very wet ground anyway.

It is further north no doubt.. don't know about slider, but that band will have to plummet to keep in line with recent forecasts which place it further south.  Maybe it will hit a brick wall when it reaches the north west dome shield.

Great news. I thought something like this might happen. Never neglect instincts.

Will be interesting to see where the 18z thinks the band is/will go compared to the 12z.

Frustrating that you would have thought the models that have had this nailed over the North West for probably a week now, would have taken this into consideration in the output.....

Yes, you would have thought so. Does seem to be a common thing though when there is cold air in place. Without the cold air, the systems don’t slide - and we inevitably get wet!

And all that time I was blaming Dianne ?

No be fair to Diane, she's probably responsible for every other period of no we end up with but the most powerful force in the universe Sky definately had a hand in this one.
