Plenty of showers for tomorrow around the southern half of our region including Manchester on the last BBC foreast.

Yes, basically what is in the Irish sea now will be over us tomorrow. Hopefully the lighter wind will help with the temperatures at least for areas further inland.

Looking at your sig; how did you only get 5cm in 2010? Bloody hell. That's a poor showing - wasn't in NW at time but had over a foot at near enough same height as you?

December 2010 i got 7cm, yeh probably the least snow in the uk haha, and it was very lucky in the way we got it, some little polar low like feature about 50 miles long came from Grimsby all the way over the pennines and fells without disintegrating too much and delivered about 30 minutes of very heavy snow, i think it was near the start of december, and i was one of the first ones in this region to get the snow, then i dont think we seen any more snow till around the 17th when it turned to a WNW, that's when everywhere got plastered except here, we got 1cm. The reason we fair so badly for snow apart from the obvious (near the sea, low land) is because of the mountains stopping everything from the east, even the mountains in SW scotland affect us and we rarely get any ppn when it's conducive for snow.

Hope so there's been nothing here all day apart from hail around 2.

This might be a pleasant surprise. According to the met office app tomorrow afternoon is very interesting too. A cheeky starter before the main course. Who knows?

Yeah but what happened? Was it all rain, or never made it over her or what?

I hope the large rainshadow was not there in the earlier frame.

No rainshadow on the forecast before 5pm, just one large area of snow across the north and midlands :D
