I am confused! Has Sunday snow chance moved further south or further north?

Further south. Just need to hope it falls as rain so they can't glee in it.

After my short read through, I've put my two pennies in however a dirty northerner (and a proper one; not a north westerner who stands the faintest chance of passing off as a midlander) it will no doubt be taken on deaf ears.

Starting to think I'll be too far northwards for Sunday's fun and games and it will most certainly be fun and games for some. If I was in the Manchester area and anywhere between there and to Birmingham then it will snow on Sunday, the only question will be where will that line be between settling snow and wet snow/sleet as some will experience the frustration of that no doubt.

If it is does turn out to be further South then make it a long way south so its not a case of right on your doorstep but you still get nothing and the only small crumb of comfort i can give regarding this is that any lying snow won't be lasting long as slightly less cold air will be moving in next week.

Still time for some more adjustments either way but i be shocked if Manchester/Liverpool etc miss out.

Got to admit, i am surprised by the lack of snow reports further inland but it goes to show even for inland areas you do need uppers more nearer of -10 to be sure that sea moderation does not come into play. All that said, Sunday's set up is totally different, off shore winds, lots of PPN and I think your location is in the sweet spot, if anything a little adjustment southwards you should secretly hope for as the more your in that Northern boundary the more likely it will remain as snow and not a snow turning sleety event like it could be further southwards.

Depends on what chart you look at. Low res precipitation charts are a complete waste of time. We're all waiting for tonight's NAE which should give the answer.

Liverpool and Manchester just in the amber warning could make travelling to/from the two derbies on Sunday interesting...

This is how things are looking here currently on the western side of the Peaks, around 3cm on the higher peaks locally but in-town there's a good 2cm settled on open surfaces with Buxton taking the most of the overnight totals at 8cm in Harpur Hill and at Flash.

This happened in 2013.

Got to work. Chorley moved out of amber.

Snow stopped at Wigan

aaaahhhhh

any more southward movement this time and Chorley is out.
