Great time for a heavy shower to hit when I'm about to set off for work!

Snowing here, barely a cm but still coming down lightly so at least I've had something.

hopefully Sunday will find one way to actually occur as forecast rather than a million reasons to not.

Should be festive for all those on the ELR this weekend.

We need a streamer to kick off some evaporative cooling. Eveything crossed for Sunday anyway.

But that would apply to Crosby and western Liverpool too. The fact the hills of Flintshire are snow free in a setup like this which usually sees much of the land across the river white hints at some much bigger issue

Very bizarre

Rain and graupel now. Just depends on the intensity of the showers. That’s snow before was after a very heavy hail shower so evaporative cooling will be a big factor today.

If the shower distribution on the BBC forecast is anything to go by then my area looks more prone to showers on Saturday.

maybe a slightly more westerly element as the wind back ready for the next system so you may be right with the festive feel.

just needs Sunday's possible pasting to not disintegrate before our eyes.

Looks a big area on its way in soon, i'm hopeful that might start as hail then change to snow.

Just a dusting on car here this morning. For Sunday however, this looks perfect (for now).

Woke to snow on the grass with wet snow falling. Makes a change from the last few years. :)

Yes got a dusting, the only showers through the night hit from about 5:30am - 6:00 and now looking at the radar the winds have gone NW and cheshire gap most favoured.  Thought there would be more snow through the night but alas my expectations are always low and I'm not getting any hopes up for Sunday.
