looking at the BBC location forecasts then maybe I'm wrong, but theres streamers into Manchester (although a lot more further South like Cheshire) and surely from 3am onwards the uppers are supportive.

Yes - bbc app still saying heavy snow midnight until 3am here when the showers die away,

there is hope, although its the hope that kills u   :nonono:

Showers springing up now in the Irish Sea as the cold uppers move over the relatively warm sea. Should see an uptick in showers for many from here on in.

We will get about 1-2 inches here, if we were exposed right through tomorrow to the showers we would end up a right dumping but as theres a less Westerly component, the track is less across sea and more across land so the PPN will be gone by 6am for us where as places further south keep a steady stream going all day tomorrow, Crewe Cold might actually do ok.

Yes, it will be turning wintry first for you though, your further North, the colder uppers are probably starting to reach you.

My location here in the Lakes not set to get much tonight whilst the rest of the region is set to get a hammering..... same for Sunday also..... sick and tired of constantlyissing out on major snow events.... I well and truly give up now.... I literally feel broken and could literally cry.

That's not the point though, I am experienced in weather watching I have been using this site since 2003, it's the amount of constantblet downs and unlickiness that I experience every winter. It also bothers me when other parts of the region far better than I do time and time again.

Before I joined on here I always assumed it did well up there. Been pretty clear from years of reports just how dire it can be. Was very surprised

Ive been unlucky generally wrt moving places and the places ive moved from get their first big dumping in 12 years - namely Birmingham in Feb 09 but also in my lifetime ive seen a lot of memorable events, are you sure its luck and its not just down to your location just not being very good for snow, if it is a big part of your life then you'll have to consider moving, I did when I moved here (it was one of the reasons anyway) although it was rushed so couldn't be a chooser really so could have done better as its the lowest point in the whole of Saddleworth.
