Another morning of chopping thick ice of the car windscreens at stupid o'clock.

frost I can stand but so far this season it's been nothing but door sticking ice which the scraper just looks at and surrenders.

It must be an age thing but all I can think of is role on Spring.....or at least my pre Christmas holiday in Gran Canaria.

I also going to Tenerife in two weeks time. Hopefully there will be no snow here when I'm over there. Or else I be jealous!! :nonono:

Try isopropyl alcohol, I’ve heard that’s very good...getting rid of the ice that  is lol. Sadly I’ve had no frosts here to try it yet.

Do they sell it in Wetherspoons:D

i used to wipe a bit of antifreeze on the windscreen with a cloth the night before and it worked pretty well but smears like hell

that said though a Russian navy icebreaker would have struggled moving this morning's crap.

I got some from eBay  cheap but i’m sure  it would be sold  in the High-Street somewhere.

I've put frost covers on tonight so Sod's law says it won't freeze.

if it does though just send us a couple of them down.

Cancel them, that bloke in North Korea has a few spare ICBM ice shifters he said he would send across.

-3°C currently.

After tonights 18z, I am just thinking about what I and the rest of the family had planned for next Wednesday/Thursday.

Me and you could be using sledges as the only means of transport.

In the unlikely event of the 18z blizzard actually happening you can bet your bottom dollar it will just skirt by our region leaving us staring agog as everyone else digs themselves out of the snow.

Yes but be prepared for that low to be modelled further north (ecm), south and not at all at some point over the next few days.  The 18z would be jackpot for our region though.  Alas I won't be taking it seriously unless it's still showing 5 days from now.

Possibly the first air frost of the night tonight. The winds have dropped out despite being forecast to stay up.

Down to 2.9°C  here. Still not happy with the wind direction though; would like it to veer some more.
