Been in London for the weekend so as expected missed a decent snowfall up here.

now I'm back its peeeeeing down although the chance of something wintry from the forecast showers as the colder air digs in

A typical cold dull-dismal day today, it's going dark enough that even a few streetlights are starting to come on as the showers pass over.

Nice to have a dry day for once.  Yes the other 'eastern' threads are more alive because a little more wintry stuff going on over there, but still after a few days of cold rain I'm happy with dry and cold.  Hopefully we'll get in on the white-stuff action before too long.

Another morning of chopping thick ice of the car windscreens at stupid o'clock.

frost I can stand but so far this season it's been nothing but door sticking ice which the scraper just looks at and surrenders.

It must be an age thing but all I can think of is role on Spring.....or at least my pre Christmas holiday in Gran Canaria.

Glorious day today, mist in the valleys this morning and a couple of snow flurries in the afternoon working up at Holme Moss.
