Lol.  It's actually rather nice now.  17.1°C.

Crosby  often has a  distinct microclimate.

Heavy rain this morning, a couple of dryish hours early afternoon then back with the rain.

a thoroughly miserable day and the wettest for some time.

At least it's been mild, not warm as you need a bit of sun for that and no doubt tomorrow's one day heat wave darn sarf will give us another cloudy wet mild one.

Not been that wet at all here today. In fact it has been dry for a large portion of it. We are in quite a big rain shadow though.

Horrid morning here is Skipton, murky, mild and very wet. Rain for nearly 24 hours. Makes me feel sad, especially looking at the Worthing Webcam on the South coast, looks almost like the Med down there basking in warm sunshine.  Hate the weather up North but love the hills, the pubs and the pies !

Yes, you are right of course. Its not been too bad. When the sun shines , there is no where better than North Yorkshire. Sad it only lasts for a week at best. Miss the warm continental summers of Austria already !

At the nearest Wunderground station to me, it was been the wettest day since November 18th. 21.8mm will make a huge difference to us gardeners. Now we need some warmth to hurry everything along.

Typical, a few days ago Wednesday's rain was forecast to pay a little visit to the region but scuttle away to affect mainly central/eastern areas.  Tomorrow now looking it will stick around for most of the day.  There was always going to be payback for that dry spell... let's hope it doesn't add too much interest and spread it out over the next 3 months.

The rain didnt' turn out too bad after all.  Slow to get here, and we stayed on the fringes of it's western flank.  I'll take that, while central and eastern areas are seeing the heavy stuff.

We had about an hour of light rain between 2 and 3pm. Always on the western fringe of the rainband. Not complaining though. Grass is lush and green.

I'm complaining, I hate cutting grass when it's lush and green.

much prefer it dry, brown and hardly growing.

as for the rain, we ended up with very little considering the forecast and now it's trying to brighten up again.

Much warmer than forecast, 19.7°C currently, even with an on-shore wind. Expecting close to 30°C on Friday or perhaps Thursday.

Such a beautiful days weather but given the events in Manchester, it was probably the last thing on most people's mind.

RIP the innocent victims

Grr it's too hot today. The plume isn't even here yet.

Still, much warmer than forecast again, very sunny after a cloudy start. Currently 21.5°C. The on-shore wind is too light to have any effect.
