18z rolling shortly, very important run

Was the difference in track evident at 1800 though? Might not be accounted for in the initial conditions.

All I know is, the latest MET and ECM precip charts aren’t good for us getting more than a couple CM

Front never marches further than the Northern Ireland border. If it can go further north than this, then we have northwards progression vs any output

It marches in and pivot's right on the south of the region.

The 18z was initiaed at 18z surprisingly if it's further north now it wouldn' be picked up on any model ubtill the 00z runs

So 4am may tell us what we already then know ?

Yeah 30-40 mile southern correction now 18Z. Think it’s time to call it

It’s not all doom and gloom. The chart shows snow in the region now. In fact I can see snow flakes under the streetlights, and a nice covering of snow.  Not that deep, but will be wonderful out tomorrow, even if no more snow falls.

i realise some parts of the region don’t have lying snow - but if you want to enjoy it, drive to Bury and take the ELR to Rawtenstall. I’m sure there are many other snowy places locally too.
