Thanks - you'd think no cause for concern atm - I'm looking at the sunshine on the grass here on the Fylde Coast now!

Salwick has a dusting - I am near Whalley at the moment belting it down - big flakes.

It will probably be a slushy snowman by the look of things. If you can take the kids to the hills.

As expected tomorrow has been well and truly downgraded by the met app... as the snow shadow effect is taken into account

This afternoon has upgraded tho..

Could later on be better than tomorrow?

If these god damn showers ever get going it might

I don't think I can remember seeing snow that melts so fast. Very worrying for December I have to say.

As you are quite hilly, you should be just about ok but I would expect some slushiness even at your altitude.

Had a nice spell of snow. Quite big flakes at one point. No problem sticking, died down a bit now. Not gonna bother radar watching as it was a pleasant surprise and I'd rather not know if it's brief haha

There isn't no slushyness here and the last snow didn't melt. Hopefully I'm snowed in by monday :p

This is good stuff, huge flakes

Looking at the radar looks like we are bang in the firing line of decent streamer activity. Gonna be an interesting weekend

Someone from Oldham council just been on BBC news 24 saying they're expecting 20cm, obviously they haven't been updated of the southwards corrections then!

Slush? What slush?

The ice rink from yesterday stuck around in the main part, bar the odd melt on exposed spots. The snow this morning was steady and gave a fresh layer and now it's absolutely white-out conditions for the last 30-40 minutes. Gearing up to be a good day

Yes noticed that but the general trend is down, location forecast for tomorrow once had the heavy snow over me for 7 hours, now its a couple, the Euro4 will be out 11.15, if that trnded back again then I might start to get interested.

Not being funny mate but our company have put an alert out today for this area for the first time in donkeys years and they are expecting to be brought to a stand still. Whoever they are getting their premium info from has been correct so far.

If it's a correction south it isn't much and there is still a possibillty of another correction north. We shall see.
