Yes got a dusting, the only showers through the night hit from about 5:30am - 6:00 and now looking at the radar the winds have gone NW and cheshire gap most favoured.  Thought there would be more snow through the night but alas my expectations are always low and I'm not getting any hopes up for Sunday.

Well if these verify why bother looking? - this is in all day for you.

Light covering of snow here but it's really not much at all. Hopefully Sunday delivers big time.

How many times do they verify is a better question. ?

Its a chart in the public domain just like all the others - take what you want from it.

This one isn't exactly blowtorch Atlantic mush - time will tell  -  its on to nowcasting Sat evening onwards.

Indeed they are but they rarely verify, the Euro4 is the only one I pay attention to.

BBC Weather showing a pasting all weekend, steady stream pasting but a pasting. Should stick around til Wednesday with the low temps as well.

A light covering of snow last night, but holy mongoose is it icy out there already.

I'm complaining, I hate cutting grass when it's lush and green.

much prefer it dry, brown and hardly growing.

as for the rain, we ended up with very little considering the forecast and now it's trying to brighten up again.

Centimetre of snow lying with some pretty heavy precipitation coming in fast from the North West.

Snow shower right now on the cost del wirral, not sure if it will stick. So more coming for those further inland to the south.

I can see the snow line on the welsh hills and its not down to sea level yet...

Starting to snow again, the sky is VERY dark. If this was summer I'd be half expecting to hear thunder.

15-20cm Sunday.....

Where are you getting that from?

Netweather and BBC both agreeing we are in line for heavy snow in the region; but 15-20cm seems highly optimistic. Even this far out, it could just turn out to be a very very wet Sunday if the margins are out even a little bit. Could easily be freezing rain if the temps out to high, or sleet/normal rain if the temps out too low.

Slightest dusting in Gee Cross, East Manchester. Abit of a disappointment. But pretty non the less. :)

Sunday can't come quick enough. Here in Liverpool, we continually get let down by marginality. Friends on social media, just over the border in North Wales posting pictures like they've just been holidaying in Vladivostok. We've had hail, grauple, sleet and rain. at 53m ASL, a good couple of miles inland, and what appears to be right in the path of most of the precipitation, we have indeed adopted the infamous snow shield as our logo.

I normally have the proverbial half full glass, god knows I even thought England could have won the last test against the auld enemies, in Adelaide, but, methinks any time now one of the two flakes on Sundays BBC forecast will change from white to blue..

Happy snow hunting, send some my way. :)
