Can we please stop talking about Sunday now and just get through today first. :-) This thread is busy enough. On Sunday we’ll be too preoccupied talking about the next event to notice it’s snowing.

Well, forecast were that it would possibly snow from around 1am onwards in the northwest, its currently 6pm and were not drowning in snow so we're all a little bit depressed. Plus a half ass chart like the euro 4 says no to snow so it's time to go cry into a bucket of ice cream to feel like we belong.

Every year (normally several times),  when those of us in snow starved areas say we dont think it will happen, we get posts like that back.   I cant wait for the time I have to say, 'yep you were right I shouldnt have worried Im snowed in'  I havent had to say that since 2010.

Did Diane really just say they expect many of the showers to turn to rain during the day?! That is dire given the upper temps and low solar input at this time of the year. The Christmas Day Cheshire streamer 2004 featured more modest uppers and yet gave us a pasting.

Fax for Sunday - looks good.. I wouldn’t expect this to be a “snow shadow” situation based on the trajectory of the low.http://www.meteociel.fr/ukmo/fax/fax72s.gif

Yes i think the FAX looks good joe :)

Yep, said most of showers will turn to rain and any snow will struggle to accumulate.

that sounds diabolical given the setup.

Just give me an easterly - anything from the west is usually garbage.

Diane does not like snow. I remember hearing of her (apparently) being pelted with snowballs one evening during the winter of 1995/96. Ever since then she's been a real mild ramper

raintoday shows only the eastern side of the region below zero at midnight..

I'm thinking that the Irish sea is just too warm to allow a cold enough flow near the surface for a lot of us. The blustery winds won't help matters.

Well if it's rain with these parameters then it's time to pack in this weather malarky of a hobby
