Indeed. Relax, have a beer, and enjoy the ride.

The worst that could happen is it doesn’t snow. :-)

‘‘Tis only weather as they say. ?

Well I never, this only happens EVERY year.

Today a disappointment for pretty much everyone.

And its looking likely that most of us will miss out on Sundays snowfall.

I am not even angry anymore, it should be expected.

ECM shows heaviest precipitation mid/North Wales across into mid and North Midlands with locations up to and including Manchester getting a fair fall of snow.

That was my interpretation too. What we don’t want however a strong easterly breeze. Us Mancs know what it’s like for our heavy snow symbols to disappear once the models get into close range. ?❄️

Have I travelled into a parallel universe where today's forecast was a whiteout from 9am?

Dont worry about sunday yet, it was never and never will be the biggest event since 2010. we haven't even had prolonged cold for any period of time, these situations are always going to be flimsy otherwise. This goes for the midlands too, they'll get one flake of snow and it'll melt before it hits the ground :D

I can tell you who wont be getting any snow on sunday, the midlands. < things you shouldn't say in the mod thread currently.

I hope they dont tbh, they've been in the sweet spot the last 15 times.

East isn’t great either to be honest. I really don’t understand why it would happen as the precipitation is coming in from the west, it must be very complex physics at play.  To be honest I only really noticed it happening in 2013 given the nature of that winter.

Apparently it was why Manchester was so snowless in 1963.

if anyone has any more info on this annoying phenomenon then let me know! Also does Kevin Bradshaw have any examples of this setup delivering for this city in the past? He’s probably the best person to ask!
