Your going to get pummeled with snow sunday at your altitude- im sure of it.

Hope your right but don't think it'll be sorted until the bay.

still think someone in the region will get hammered, just don't think it will be IMBY.

We we’ve been told the sliders ‘always’ shift south west.

Lets hope so.

Still hoping to catch a couple of beefy showers and get everything white.

BBC forecast barely making anything of the snow showers Fri/sat on their graphics.  Just a few flurries hitting the coastal Districts.  It will feel a bit fresh out in the wind though

00z runs are even better from ukmo/gfs..

Really hoping to see upgrades to the meto later- with a chart like this for tomorrow night!

No chart available for the selected hour. Many charts start at 3 hours ahead, so if you have 0 hours selected try stepping forward or selecting a later hour.

-7/8c 850hpa temps is what delivered snowfall to the North Yorkshire coastline last Thursday morning with snow settling on the beach for a time in the morning.

Would be nice to see some pics of low lying areas along the west coast with some snow come the end of the week. ie: @Chris.R

Listening to BBC Radio Manchester at 7.25, Simon King said that there was a possibility of snow causing disruption during the rush hour on Thursday evening.

Definately one to watch.

Morning all. No real changes from the overnight model runs in terms of snow later this week.

For Greater Manchester and South Lancs, we have a window from midnight until 10am ish on Friday. From mid morning latest the risk slips south and west towards West Cheshire & Merseyside. I do think somewhere will hit the jackpot and sit under a streamer but it’s hard to say where quite yet. My best guess is the Crewe/Chester area.

I’m now not as convinced as I was that Manchester will get lying snow, but it’s still very possible, not out of the question yet.

Big upgrade on the Automated App (BBC) Lots of heavy snow forecast from 8pm Tomorrow.... Considering only light snow has been forecast and an hour of it all week thats a big jump.

Thursday night looks like the main event for east of the region.

Yes and joe bloggs told me to wait until 48hrs before the event- and thats where we are now.

Mmust admit FG, i will be bitterly disappointed if i wake up nothing on friday morning as i think it looks really good- EURO4 has uppers of -8 by 00am fri !! With altitude on our side it can surely only be snow, if the precip hits that is..
