The cold drying wind is making it feel cold but the reality is it's almost 7C .. which in a northerly even in November at 10pm is not technically that cold.

Quite a gusty wind though, so if it keeps up I can't see anything below 4 to 5 degreesC on the coast tonight.

Have to agree with you unfortunately. The wind also isn’t veering enough, so unless it starts to go off-shore very soon then there won’t even be a ground frost around here. 5.6°C currently.

Don't know your locale too well or whether the station is accurate but Chadderton is showing 2.2C

Up at Saddleworth, it's just below freezing

Taking the mean between the two locations I'd say you're probably at about 1C

Wind has finally veered around to the north-east and eased so the temperature is plummeting like the proverbial lead balloon in response. At 04:00 it was 3.5°C, now 1.7°C and still falling rapidly. Looks like we’ll break this autumn’s minimum record again shortly. Grass temp is -0.8°C  so the third ground frost of the autumn.

Just missed out on an air frost, minimum 0.1°C. Grass frost melted just after sunrise, currently 2.2°C. Better than I expected.

-1.3'c before sunrise, missed out on seeing the Venus/Jupiter conjunction as the clouds began to roll in just as the alarm went off at 6am. Currently 2.8'c which if it stays this way means we'll officially have a full 24hr single-digit temperature day for the first time this year.
