Down to 6.8°C this morning, very very respectable at this time of year here, don't usually get that low untill mid October.

Probably be warmer in 3-4 months, with rain and howling winds, named storms

Not a bad day up to late afternoon but the rain has set in now and it looks like lasting well into Thursday.

it’s horrible. If there was some way to have drizzle removed from the climate I would do anything to make it happen. I can cope with heavy rain  or gales but I absolutely HATE drizzle!

Torrential drizzle and mild, the severities of the British climate.

Not the best of pics on my rubbish phone but had a trip out to the big ASDA near the Man City ground today to pick something up and noticed how nice and yellow/orange the leaves are close to the stadium. Proper Autumnal look to things now.

Finally got my anemometer rigged up properly. Currently saying wind  13 mph at 136°, gusting to 20.5 mph. Strongis gust so far today 28.0 mph Half an hour ago. Hopefully that is pretty accurate?  Also had 8 mm of rain; only have to look out the window to see that’s accurate!

Early met office warning (yellow) out for heavy and persistent rain during Sunday as the remnants of Maria & Lee play out the final act of their lovers tryst.  Exact area's which will receive the highest rainfall totals still need pinning down, but it will for sure be a very wet Sunday.

I don't mind the odd wet day if it has interesting potential with it and the remains of a hurricane normally does offer something.

just a shame it's at weekend and no doubt it heralds the start of a procession of rain bands but the last few weeks, although useable have been a bit tedious.

Just been sent this picture from the Lakes. Reports of some very bad flooding on the roads.

Wonder why the Met office never issued any warnings for today

I thought today was going to be the wet day, but just gloomy with the occasional bursts of drizzle.   If anything yesterday was much wetter in the form of frequent heavy showers.  Not windy yet either, very calm.
