We haven't fared to badly to day to be honest, a bit of persistent rain this morning but nothing too heavy and it's very sporadic now.  I noticed the yellow warning for rain has been removed by the met office.  THe heaviest rain right now is in the south east.

Sunny here for the passed hour. What's gone wrong?

Heavyish rain this morning but mainly dry this afternoon and feeling pleasantly warm in what brightness came though.

better than forecast in the end and having a weather warning was probably a bit OTT but the conditions were there for a good downpour falling on hard ground so on balance it was probably justified.

as for tomorrow's forecast conditions...the less said about that the better.

Yes it looks like there might be a little bit of interest added on to the rain totals tomorrow, for daring to escape the worst of it today.  BBC forecasts rain on and off throughout the whole of the 17hrs of daylight.  What a waste... but signs of better prospects showing for next week.

A wet morning but a nice afternoon with sunny intervals. Max 19.4°C. Not looking that good tomorrow, but I bet  the strange microclimate here means it'll stay dry and I'll probably see the sun at some point lol.

Just like yesterday, we're under light rain while the heavy stuff is off to the side. Today the fun is to our east, yesterday to the north west. Meh.

Pity this setup isn't the middle of Jan. Easterly, North Easterly then Northerly with copious amounts of precipitation for all! Surely would be a snowfest? Mind you when this ever happens in winter it always fizzles out before hitting Liverpool, no probs in summer though!!

Awful cold, wet Autumn day with a miserable 13C forecast all day (it actually is 13C here).

Persistent moderate rain most of the day, just when it appears to wax off, it intensifies again.  Radar has the heavier stuff sitting over the eastern hills so it could be worse on the other side of the pennines, but still a filthy miserable excuse of a summer's day.... Good job we're used to it up here.

Agreed, it's been an awful day and made yesterday afternoon look half decent.

maximum temperature here only reached 13c, as forecast but damn disappointing for only a week past the longest day and I wouldn't bet on it being higher than this in six months time, a week past the shortest.

Agree with the last bit (south), but maybe not quite at 300m asl

Better prospects for the weekend but after the last few days anything would be an improvement.

A passable summer day although with a chilly breeze until the cloud cleared at lunch to almost clear blue skies.  Temp. was nothing to write home about for the beginning of July - miserable 17C.

A view of Pickmere, Cheshire.  Water temp was 20C, knocked back by 1C by all that cold rain last Wednesday.

Dreadful, utterly dreadful.

Heating on last 2 nights, nuff said.

Heating? Last time I had it on was March!

Then again the city centre is always warmer and polluted.

Feeling warm and humid here now and it will be an unpleasant night for sleeping.

Fingers crossed for some thundery activity tomorrow.

My parents have been down south for the last month and left today at 28oC. They said they've got to the NW and it's 16oC! Slight difference
