Temp was 22c earlier, clouds now more broken and 26c. Fingers crossed

Hope so Jan. Showers building in North Wales, except they look like going just to the north of us and just to the south of us haha!

Light rain here but nothing to get excited about. The sky looks ominous and the birds are dashing round

Feels muggy and humid, and skies have that typical storm brewing feel about it, but could be hit and miss.  Had a few spots of rain but nothing more.  Hope we get a crash, bang, wallop end to this hot spell because the signs for next week are more atlantic driven.

Strange sort of days weather.

Sunny morning but the temperature was slow to respond and was only at 23c when the first heavy - ish shower came at lunchtime.

once it cleared and if with limited sunshine it quickly climbed to 27c and felt as sticky as I've known it for a long while.

currently 25c with a bit of sunshine but also some threatening clouds so after missing the storm activity so far, maybe all is not lost for something later this evening.

Very poor turnout in the end with realistically never much chance of storms around these parts. Not that surprising though.

Big drops of rain here. That is probably hail that melted through the hot air.

Very rapid development from that cluster of cells just exiting north wales into the cheshire area.  Hopefully it keeps it momentum going as it spreads further east.

Currently lot of thunder but no visible lightning. Just had a burst of heavy rain.  Rain felt warm on my topless torso. Current temp 26C

Edit: first flash of lightning, moderate rain.

A strike just showing in the warrington area, which is the furthest north a lightning strike has shown it's hand from this cluster.
