Just spent a couple of hours painting the summer house and I'm thinking it needs a name change to winter gardens.

Not a bad day, mainly cloudy but with a bit of warm sunshine at times and more importantly, dry throughout.

at least the summer house painting project is completed now.

A nice dry warm day with sunny spells though windy. Max 18.5°C. )Just starting to rain, currently 15.4°C. Rain wasn't supposed to reach us but it looks like it has now.

 Didn't rain after all. Looks like it should be dry and warm for the week now then.

Other than a bit of drizzle for a few minutes around lunchtime it's been a decent day, certainly good for a BH Monday.

just a shame that much of it has been spent getting over a few too many beers last night but much like the weather, it's been a steadily improving picture.

Just over 14'c midday here despite the blanket of cloud that's been building up since early morning. Showers forecast for the afternoon moving in from the NE.

Plenty of threatening looking clouds this afternoon but dry......up to now.

Very dry conditions at present over the Lake District. Ground is hard making for excellent walking conditions compared to the usual wet mucky stuff we tend to have to endure. Its been a dry year overall so far as well, with very few wet days, only modest amounts of rain on occasion.

The outlook remains very settled with trace rain amounts, not all too unusual, April and May tend to be the driest months on average here, and when lengthy periods with no rain are most likely to occur.

Thanks to the drying east wind, humidity levels are very low as well, with very dry air and low lapse rates, making for very comfortable weather, complete opposite to the dreaded humid southwesterly which spoils a walk at any time of the year. Those who have picked this week for a walking holiday in the Lakes have struck lucky, its a superb time of year, everything growing, ideal temps for walking, but the wind is going to take the edge off things, and nights will be quite chilly.

This evening we have a very pale pinky peach sky. We are nearing maximum annual daily sunshine levels - must make the most of it, in 3 months the downward trend sets in.

Not a bad day temperature got to 19 c and patchy cumulus lawns starting to suffer

Just about managed 15'c here today with some high-alt clouds about, but for the most part it's crystal-clear blue skies with some much needed warm-sunshine after the flu bug I caught a few days ago that left me bedridden.

 One of the warmest places in the UK here today. Dry warm and sunny, Max 18.1°C. Humidity is very low, exceptionally so, currently  34% , lowest was 30% at 16:00.

Another beautiful day in Manchester city centre, wall-to-wall sunshine. Pity about the stiff breeze, would be a lovely day for lounging about otherwise.

We've now had a week with not a drop of rain, and only 5mm in the week before that. Nothing on the cards for the next week so we may be looking at an absolute drought by next Saturday.

The forecast is cloudy for the weekend, of course.

Good walking weather today if you're on the sheltered side of the hills out of the breeze, it's 16'c where I am at 3pm and the sun is high enough in the sky to cause sunburn easily if you're not careful out of the shade.

Another fantastic day's weather for those lucky enough to be out in it.

for me a choice of a couple of hours working in the garden or a pub meal and a couple of beers......mmmmm.

I'm sure the garden will still be there in the morning.

The bluest, clearest sky I've seen since last summer. A magnificent day to come. Such a contrast to yesterday Currently sat in the garden melting in the sunshine.

A lovely days weather and with practically wall to wall sunshine and a light breeze, today's 20c was certainly an improvement on yesterday where under almost constant grey skies, we only reached 12c.

hopefully a few more days of decent weather to come before a possible breakdown towards next weekend.

13c is the sun today certainly felt much warmer than the 12c we reached under cloudy skies on Saturday.

such is the feel of the sun at this time of year.

Maxed at 16 c  today , though got 19 c on Saturday in Ayrshire .

Sunny again with average temperatures. Max 15.3°C, exactly the same as yesterday.
