The front shows a nice tight little spinning area, NNE of Jersey and headed towards the IOW, quite obvious on the radar plots...

Is my invite in the snailmail??

Ha. It's being carried by one of those cells to the south of you, so at this rate you probably won't get it. ;)

Stopped raining here now.  Incredibly hot and oppressive though.

Just started to rain with very big raindrops here in Poole! Air feels horrible, we need a big storm to clear it

Rain just started and a few rumbles of thunder. Doesn't look like it will stay for long according to the radar

Bit of a shame. The only exciting part was the wind. Rainfall was moderate for 10 minutes, now its brightening up.

Only just enough rainfall to make the road look damp, that's way of measurable at the moment. Meanwhile Bournemouth folks are loving the lightning...

Very interesting cloud formations left over from where there was a line of storms linking the 2 main cells, radar tells me we're right under the anvil edge of the storm over Hampshire, if it was dark lightning may well have been visible to the SE.

Just got to hope something else forms later on.

Most of the lightnings been just to the west of here but there's been a few closer strikes with loud thunder. 9.0mm in about 50 minutes.

Will that little spec in the channel that's just appeared grow, I'll give it 15 mins of my evening before I shut the lid on my laptop.

Not a drop here at all.
Did not even hear any distant thunder.
