Same here, blue skies to S and SE, milky to N and NW, showing on the radar as the lightest of precipitation, but it's not reaching the ground here.

The radar has consistently done this recently whether the high cloud be Cirrus or Altocumulus types.

Little B*ggers

Loads outside my door, I think I'll tell them it's going to rain tomorrow and they best get a move on...

Just been out with the dog and blimey there's a lot of flying ants around.

Must be there time to go, bit later than others have been reporting.

I thought I misheard that at first when they said that.

For once, the SW quadrant looks to be the focal point for tomorrow's forecast convective activity.

Can't wait!!!!!

Glad we're not the only ones with 1000s of flying ants! We are beginning to think that our lawn was one huge nest .

Hopefully in 24 hours we will be talking about 1000s of lightning strikes!

Tricky medium and upper cloud this morning with Ci and Ac  Quite a a strong easterly gusting 30mph with the temp 18C. The question is where will any storms alight later?

Again, not doing well on the sunshine front - just too much useless cloud around. At least it's a little warmer than usual though I guess.

Today already reminds me of June 19th 2007 (also a Tuesday) - warm, very hazy with first storms showing up after teatime and an increasingly gusty wind. Let's see if I can get 32mm in 20 minutes again...

Local rag has this in it's article:

THUNDERY showers could be heading to Dorset tomorrow, the Met Office is warning.

The forecast currently says there will be rain between 6pm on Tuesday and 1am on Wednesday with thunder at 8pm.

OK so set your watches!

I want a good Thunderstorm, but what I would really like is for my fishing trip on Friday not to be cancelled again... currently not looking good....:wallbash:

The 2 days in 2 months where sea states have not been good for sea fishing on a vessel, I've had trips booked

With the convective stuff currently to the east the interest here is mainly the interesting cloud, Ac Cas and thick Ci and the easterly wind gusting up to 45mph

I know the feeling. Got a BBQ planned and 20+ people coming over on Saturday. It has to be outside and it must be dry!
