Liking the look of that, could move 20 miles South or I could just drive up the Fosse and watch it from afar!!!

A bit of wet snow for northern parts of the region early Sunday morning, before turning back to rain when we all wake up.

on the off chance that verified, it would be just about all snow for me.....fat chance of it verifying...lol

Cold rain and wind is my bet

all but 3 of ththe GFS members have that very small but potent storm at +72, so i do expect to see warnings of some sort in the next 24 hours tops. Especially if the ECMgoes that route aswell

That's something to look forward too.

How come there isn't much talk of the possible back edge snow on Monday?

Seems like many in the south are still chasing the Sunday event. I think we have a better chance of seeing something Monday morning.

@Mapantz I share your bemusement with the weather warnings for the wind I would add the weather warning for snow and ice in devon and cornwall 2-5cm locally for yesterday and today was way wide of the mark. The only snow fell on the higher parts of the moor, everywhere else was rain and even if that rain had been snow there would of been barely a covering. I would hazard they were over cautious for the south west along with the wind "issue" for Sunday, are they worried about litigation? Its bonkers to give warnings when none is required

Highly irritating living West of Oxford! Always just on edge of any weather warning issued. Its like living in a weather black hole! Of course im unlikely to get any sympathy here as barely part of south west anyway but feels good to rant ?

Here in Shaftesbury today we have had some snow showers which has given a dusting. I would forget Sundays snow event if you are south of north Wiltshire. Monday looks like a snow settling event for anyone 5 miles from the coast and with decent elevation :)

Truly amazing watching the radar and seeing the showers over Wales disappearing as soon as the get near the Bristol Channel, Not one has made it across.

There is some beefy showers in Wales at the moment, surely they can make it across can't they:fool::aggressive:

Unfortunately as soon as they hit the Brecon's and the Valleys they lose energy and dissipate. The Irish sea build the showers up and then the showers lose the strength over the colder high ground. Need a bit of heat somewhere to pep them up :(

I hoping some of the bigger showers have enough strength to make it over.

They look heavier than the ones that didn’t make it earlier.

We never tend to do well out of these northerlies. Im looking forward to the scandi high which is growing in confidence for mid to late December, where we have lows undercutting it. That's our best bet. Im still enjoying the showers we have had today and the event on Monday morning will be good for us. We need to make the most of that one though before it thaws away into Tuesday!
