No of course we won’t since we don’t get corrections that help us. Only the opposite type of correction happens here.

not that we are bitter about it :nonono:

Latest from the met office. My locale is right on the boundary of A and nothing! EEK!

Worries me that the boundary of 'C' stops at the Welsh mountains. Just watch all the hefty showers dissipate right before they get to the West Country.

Sorry to be a negative nancy.. :sorry: I just wish for once we could get a last minute upgrade.

Temp here has began to fall since 1:30pm when it was 12.5c to 8c now.
All changed as the wind moved form SW to NW.

We did have a long heavy rain spell from 9am to 11am this morning of 4mm, with 14-11mph SSW winds and a few 30mph gusts.

It's gonna change again but there's gonna be some lucky people if you're in the firing line.

Temp down to 8.3c, was hoping it would be lower than that by now.

Still time for it to drop, but would really need to see it around 1-2c by 9-10pm latest to have any confidence in seeing snow fall.

Shocking as it might be but I have to go and do some work when the 12z runs come out!! Demonstrating germination and photosynthesis techniques, thats how I roll! I usually ask students to put the phones away might be a bit rich if I keep glancing at the GFS run.....

Afternoon all, passed the local gritting depot on the way home from work, pleased to report the doors are open, the lights are on and the lorries are out and all lined up ready to be filled. I'm taking this as a positive sign ;-)

I wouldn't worry about the GFS now, follow the MetO. They will be using a blend of models, and MOGREPS - far superior to anything we have access to. The 12Z actually looks worse for those in the Midlands, as the colder uppers/dewpoints have shifted North.

Give it time. Consistently falling here and most importantly the dew point is falling considerably. From 11-12C dps earlier on to 3C now.

I'll get my 2 year old to colour the rest in. We might end up with a great time!

As per usual we are into nowcasting territory for the 'Slider'.

They don't come along very often so very difficult to accurately model. It's excrutiating micromanaging every small shift in trajectory. I remain positive, but not enough to spark any excitement from my children yet!

'Daddy - what does snow look like?'

This is quite cool, you can really see the cold air digging in now across the country. I've just hit 12.c high temp of the day, expect to see it dropping soon!
