Keep the faith for Sunday guys, in my experience over the years these low pressure systems are unpredictable even up to 6 -12 hours out and more often than not tend to track further south than modelled.

Now, i'm not saying we are going to be knee deep in snow, but I wouldn't be surprised to see this tracking further south than progged and some us snow starved southerners seeing the white stuff.

Anyone else follow my thoughts?

Definitely the track is not set in stone. On some models the slider has just turned into a trough and has lost alot of PPN, in others the slider has been consumed into the low pressure system over scandi meaning its rain up most the country. It could slide to the west of cornwall missing us all. But I'm pretty sure in other occasions you see the track starting to slip south very gradually from 4 days out where as this slider has remained pretty streadfast in its predicted track.  However this is why weather is so interesting in the age of supercomputers and with all the available technology people still cannot not predict if its going to rain snow or stay dry!

I have a little hope reserved! Not giving up just yet! Further corrections this afternoon would be welcomed

won't stop me radar watching!!:nonono:

I would really need any heavy showers to fall in the small hours before sunrise. I am actually in Crewkerne tomorrow at Clay Pigeon Kart Track, so might see something there I guess.

I can understand those in the north getting excited but unfortunately it's looking like a bit of a cold rainfest for the next few days for these parts, although some in the west will see snow showers tomorrow. Still time for the track of Sunday's slider to change of course but so far very few models have taken it far enough south for us to benefit.

However the general synoptic pattern and background signals are looking very positive going forward so we are all in with a far better shout than the past few years at least! Hopefully fortune will favour us for a change in the not too distant future, after all it has to snow again at some point, right?!

Mind you those two charts posted show there was not much in it really from sweet spot to sick spot, I doubt we will get the correction required on this one. But yes watch them sparks fly

No of course we won’t since we don’t get corrections that help us. Only the opposite type of correction happens here.
