Well good morning fellow southerners and south westerners.

It looks like I've managed to drag my sorry rear end out of summer hibernation just in time to see the latest possibilities of snow for us snow starved southerners stand on a knife edge.

Track south Mr Low Pressure god damn it lol.

Hope everyone is well.

This is quite cool, you can really see the cold air digging in now across the country. I've just hit 12.c high temp of the day, expect to see it dropping soon!

Going to get the net weather extra radar later ready for the 3ft snow we're going to get.

10.2mm from yesterday's bits & pieces and today's rain. Winds gusted to 40mph, with a 21mph average. Cold frost has just gone through here.Temp did manage to get to 13.1 °C but falling away quickly now.

I've noticed that the charts are beginning to flag up a lot of wet weather now.

Radar showing a nice squall line to the E - SE of Oxford heading towards London.

I'm currently just north of Oxford...can confirm first hand that it absolutely hammered down for a few minutes! Brightened up nicely now. Will head out for a breath of fresh air soon to see what the temp is like.

I take it you can only get the charts from net weather because you subscribe ?

i feel a numnpty trying to post because I'm not very technical weather wise, even my indoor / outdoor weather monitor has given up now so it's only my eyes and how hot cold I feel . Which given my age and pneumonia isn't very accurate at the moment !

Sorry to hear that, hope you are better in time for Christmas.

No this is my weather station, and it is linked to Wunderground.

You can view it here https://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboard?ID=ILYTCHET6#history and other stations that may be close to your location :)

Hi all, long time no see!

Unfortunately I can't see anything to get excited about IMBY. Even tomorrow Met has been flopping between rain showers or sleet showers... 3C and rain doesn't sound particularly appealing :sorry:

Hoping for some surprises though, as ever

Keep the faith for Sunday guys, in my experience over the years these low pressure systems are unpredictable even up to 6 -12 hours out and more often than not tend to track further south than modelled.

Now, i'm not saying we are going to be knee deep in snow, but I wouldn't be surprised to see this tracking further south than progged and some us snow starved southerners seeing the white stuff.

Anyone else follow my thoughts?
